This is an excellent opportunity for a Lead GP VMO (Medical Coordinator) to join our expanding practice inQueenstown.
Our Medical Centre is a well-equipped and purpose-built practice facility, adjacent to the Queenstown Hospital and aged care facility. The practice has the capacity for three full-time doctors with support from a full-time CDM trained Registered Nurse, administration staff, and a number of visiting Allied Health professionals and ancillary services.
Ochre Health is one of Australia’s leading General Practice organisations. Founded in 2002 by Dr Hamish Meldrum and Dr Ross Lamplugh in the NSW outback town of Bourke, Ochre is the only General Practice organisation in all MMM areas, from metro to remote Australia. Ochre now supports over 450 doctors, including 90 registrars

- Be a senior clinical leader and take ownership of clinical governance
- Conducting clinical audits
- Involvement in the new doctor induction program
- Delivery of better health outcomes for the community
- Mentoring and supervision of registrars and medical students
- Leading by example in supporting preventative health initiatives, CDM, and health innovations and ensuring the overall quality of healthcare in the practice
- Rural General Practice Settlement Incentive (RGPSI) Grant – Up to $100,000 for VR GPs committing to a five-year placement in prioritised rural Tasmania (MMM3-7), with staged payments over four years (eligibility applies)
- Flexible no lock-in contracts, you can decide how long or short you stay
- Attractive Sign-on or Referral Bonuses. Condition apply.
- The on-call daily VMO rate.

Suitability
- General Registration or Vocational Registration with AHPRA.
- Proficient with common general practice conditions.
- Recent experience in an unsupervised setting for VMO.
- Experience as a Senior/Lead GP is highly desirable.
