We are looking for an Assistant Underwriter in our Financial Lines team to support an experienced and dynamic team of Underwriters in all tasks related to underwriting and administration support as well as managing the online portal referrals.

This is a regulated role under the Central Bank of Ireland’s Fitness and Probity regime.

What you’ll be DOING

What will your essential responsibilities include?

- Managing/servicing/processing an allocated portfolio for SME accounts across Brooklyn Financial Lines products, including Professional Indemnity, Technology Liability, Cyber and Management Liability insurance policies.
- Handling and resolving underwriting enquiries via phone and email from clients/insurance brokers.
- Preparation of reports, providing assistance to underwriters and other business functions including business operations and credit control as required.
- Develop a solid network with all internal stakeholders within Brooklyn and the broader AXA XL group, claims, actuary and middle office.
- Adherence to Underwriting Rules & Guidelines, service standards and regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Promotion of a collaborative work culture with unwavering commitment to teamwork and team success.
- Attend internal and external meetings and events with clients and brokers.

You will report to the Underwriting Manager- Financial lines.
