Job Description
Share a cuppa, a chat, and brighten the day of an elderly lady living at home in Belmont.
Do you have a kind heart and a little time to spare? We’re looking for a friendly, caring person to brighten the day of an older lady in Belmont who would love some regular company. A weekly or fortnightly visit for an outing to nearby Lake Macquarie or staying in chatting over a cuppa will make a world of difference — sharing stories, laughter, and friendship.
Our lovely client enjoys good conversation and simple moments of connection. Your visits could bring warmth, companionship, and a sense of belonging to her week — and you might just find it brightens your own days too.
If you believe that kindness, a listening ear, and a friendly smile can make someone’s life a little happier, we’d love to hear from you.
Time commitment: 1 hour per week (flexible)

Your impact
Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.
HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer VisitorScheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.

Requirements
- 18 years or older
- National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare
- We/'d be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for an hour visit between 9am and 4pm Monday to Sunday; visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
