The Role
The Premium Client Manager is focused on retaining and growing Pepperstone’s most valuable clients, those generating significant revenue and delivering consistent trading volumes. This role is responsible for actively building relationships to promote Pepperstone, providing tailored solutions to help clients overcome trading challenges, promoting educational and functionality solutions, and engaging with traders. You will provide general advice on the financial markets, discuss trading strategies, risk management and key market events, with the goal of increasing the longevity and success of this client segment.
As our Premium Client Manager – AU, your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Developing relationships through various channels with Pepperstone’s Premium Client Group to impact longevity at volume thresholds
- Using industry sources and external channels to build strong relationships and seek referrals and trading volumes
- Securing and growing premium clients by demonstrating a clear point of difference in experience, market knowledge and personal focus
- Achieving sales targets
- Actively contributing to the premium team and assisting others in the team development
- Being a trusted adviser to premium clients on market and trading matters
- Maintaining client interest in trading markets through regular market analysis and trade opportunities
- Assisting in planning and executing client events as required
- Collaborating with marketing, operations, risk and development teams to gain support for projects and deliver needed support
- Organising quarterly premium events ranging from sporting events to conferences
- Meeting clients face to face and attending luxury Premium Client Events to build and nurture relationships
About You
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally in a phone sales environment
- Previous experience as an account manager and/or dealing with clients (preferably high net worth)
- Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Proactive attitude and client-first mindset
- Excellent relationship building, customer service and influencing skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to negotiate, resolve conflict and overcome challenges
- Sound decision making and critical thinking
- Ability to acquire new knowledge quickly and coach others
- Proficient numerical ability and comfort working with numbers
- Ability to manage and proactively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to travel throughout Australia (and overseas on occasion)
- Alignment with Pepperstone values and commitment to ongoing learning and development
Preferred but not essential
- Understanding of financial markets, investments, and trading strategies
- RG146 Financial Services General Advice qualification
- Experience with MetaTrader 4 and cTrader
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business or similar (highly regarded)
