Clarence Street Long Day Care in South Brisbane is seeking an Assistant Director to help lead our newest service at the heart of the community. This 175-place centre, closely connected to the local neighbourhood, offers a vibrant and supportive environment. In partnership with the Centre Director, you’ll guide a passionate team, ensure the smooth running of daily operations, and foster a warm, nurturing space where children aged 6 weeks to 5 years can learn, grow, and thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Centre Director in the effective day-to-day management of the centre
- Promote and maintain high-quality, inclusive education and care practices
- Lead by example and mentor educators to support their professional development
- Build strong, trusting relationships with families and the local community
- Confidently step into the Centre Director role during their absence
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree or Diploma in Early Childhood Education (ACECQA approved)
- Strong knowledge of the EYLF, NQS, and contemporary early childhood pedagogy
- Proven experience in an educational leadership role
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and support a team of educators
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Collaborative, proactive, and reflective approach to early childhood education
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC), First Aid, and CPR certification
