About the role
VMCH has a vacancy for an experienced Occupational Therapist to develop and implement high-quality person-centred services to support people with disabilities to achieve their goals and to achieve independence within their home and community.
About you
You will be a passionate and experienced Occupational Therapist who has a genuine interest in the health and wellbeing of adults with disabilities. You will have outstanding communication skills, time management and problem-solving skills and enjoy working with a broad range of stakeholders.
Key responsibilities and requirements
- Experienced in providing specialist assessment and intervention with disability clients who can have multiple and complex support needs
- Engaging in collaborative goal setting with clients and their support networks to maximise independence
- Provide therapy supports in the client’s chosen environment
- Provide support and direction to Allied Health and support staff
- Assessment for assistive technology and home modifications
- Ability to build rapport with a diverse range of stakeholders
