**Our Family**:

- We have two young children - an almost 7yo boy (starting Year 1) and an 5.5yo girl (starting Prep). We (the parents) work 4-5 days a week and need a little help, especially on weekdays. Our kids are the best of friends but have frequent disagreements that can escalate quickly. We need a smart, fun and energetic babysitter to help us with school drop offs, pick-ups and activities. A drivers' licence is required. We would prefer if you have the option to sometimes use your own car (we will provide portable booster seats). Our son has autism, but is extremely social, funny and imaginative. His main difficulty is his extremely limited eating and tendency to be controlling (mainly towards family members). He had an excellent outcome with early intervention ABA therapy and attends mainstream school and now does a few hours of therapy after school. You will get plenty of guidance on how to manage him (including advice direct from him) and one of us will be around most of the time to help out, especially in the first few weeks. Our son's special interests are Harry Potter, Halloween and Minecraft. He doesn't like ball sports, but he does enjoy rock climbing, has just learned to ride his bike without training wheels. Our daughter is an extremely agile and strong little girl. She loves gymnastics. She is a good swimmer (and anyone who is up for taking her to the pool is a bonus), she likes to put on make up and do her hair (and yours). She is great at rock climbing and riding her bike, but needs a little help with staying focused on table activities like drawing, writing or puzzles.

**Your Duties**:

- Drop off to school which is a 5 minute walk from home. Approx 8:00-9:00 (but we pay a minimum charge of 2h). Pick up from school and after school activities or free play 3:30-6pm. Option for weekend / evening work if interested or on an ad hoc basis.

**Our Perfect Caregiver**:

- This role would suit a uni student with past babysitting experience. Those studying education, occupational therapy, psychology or other allied health areas would be highly regarded. We would love someone physically active who is happy to drive around to take the kids swimming or bike riding or play centers. It would be a great second job for anyone already working with another family. We currently have one much-loved babysitter and we are looking to cover the remaining gaps (and also uni placements and school holidays). We understand that uni timetables change and are happy to sit down with both babysitters to work out the best schedule. We prefer someone who lives close to the Camberwell. We pay a minimum 2h charge but still want to make it worthwhile for the morning drop offs.
