This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 1, 2026

The School
Armadale Senior High School (SHS) is an Independent Public School dedicated to providing students from Year 7 to Year 12 with strong academic achievement and positive engagement. We aim to provide every student with a positive learning experience. We believe in our students and recognise that each is an individual to be welcomed and respected.
Our highly skilled and experienced teaching staff provide a supportive educational experience for every student through a wide variety of subjects and courses. These include English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities, Home Economics, Creative Art, Music, Information Technology, Design and Technology and Physical Education.
The successful applicant will ideally be passionate about the Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS) learning area, having the ability to maximise engagement and support students to achieve their potential. In collaboration with our diverse team of staff, suitable applicants should be responsible for planning, delivering and assessing various HASS subjects in line with the Western Australian Curriculum, as well as Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE), Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) and General courses. They successful candidate ideally establishes and maintains a positive classroom learning environment, modelling high expectations and a commitment to excellence. Using their excellent interpersonal skills, suitable applicants will ideally contribute to the positive culture throughout the school through engaging in effective instructional practice and creating a safe, student-centred learning environment.
Teachers at Armadale SHS are innovative and creative in their classroom practice. They use a range of teaching strategies to cater for student diversity and apply the strategies of explicit instruction and curriculum differentiation to maximise opportunities for success.
