Salary: $93,426 – $120,651 pa, LGA – Grade 1-9 (As from 15 December 2025 salary rate will be increased to $96,229 – $124,271 pa)

Location: Joondalup / Midland (you may be required to work from more than one campus)

Responsibilities

- Deliver engaging, hands‑on training that connects theory to real‑world conservation challenges.

- Create immersive learning experiences that foster curiosity, critical thinking and ecological awareness.

- Assess student progress with care, ensuring each learner feels supported and empowered.

- Mentor future conservation and ecosystem management professionals.

- Contribute to innovative program development that reflects current environmental priorities.

- Collaborate with industry and community partners to keep training relevant and impactful.

- Stay ahead of emerging trends in conservation, sustainability and ecosystem restoration through ongoing professional development.

Qualifications & Experience

- Minimum of 5 years of relevant hands‑on ground operational experience in maintaining natural areas.

- Required qualifications in one of the following areas:

- AHC31421 or AHC31424 – Certificate III in Conservation and Ecosystem Management

- AHC40924 or AHC40920 – Certificate IV in Conservation and Ecosystem Management

- AHC31522 or AHC31516 – Certificate III in On Country Management (with relevant industry experience)

- Minimum qualification to deliver accredited vocational education and training (VET) as defined by the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015 (or successors). The current minimum qualification is the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122, TAE40116 or TAE40110) or a secondary teaching qualification with an Assessor Skill Set (TAESS00011, TAESS00019 or TAESS00024).

- Applicants who do not yet hold the minimum required VET credentials may apply, provided they are willing to enrol in an approved training and assessment credential and complete it within two years from commencement.

- Well‑developed organisational skills, including the ability to work in a team environment.

- Demonstrated initiative and self‑motivation.

- Ability to demonstrate an understanding of Equal Opportunity principles and develop appropriate strategies to incorporate these into the learning environment.

- Evidence of Department of Education Criminal Clearance and, if the position involves contact with children, a Working with Children (WWC) Card.

- For fixed‑term appointments you must hold a valid working visa; for permanent appointments you must hold permanent residency.
