Role summary

Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for turning data into decisions? Capricorn is seeking a talented Finance Manager – Internal Reporting to lead the financial storytelling of our Risk Division. In this pivotal role, you’ll deliver insightful reporting and analysis that empowers our Senior Leadership Team and Board to make informed, forward-thinking decisions.

Your Impact

As Finance Manager, you’ll be the go-to expert for internal financial and operational reporting. You’ll translate complex data into clear, actionable insights, helping us monitor performance, identify opportunities, and navigate risks. Your work will directly influence strategic planning and operational efficiency across the Capricorn Risk Division.

Skills & Attributes

- Exceptional writing and reporting skills, with experience presenting to senior leaders and Boards.

- Ability to simplify complex financial concepts for diverse audiences.

- Analytical mindset with a knack for identifying trends and insights.

- Strong understanding of insurance industry drivers and metrics.

- Collaborative approach with excellent interpersonal skills.

- Effective time management and prioritisation under pressure.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.

- Commitment to ongoing professional development.

Experience

- 5–10 years post-qualification experience in the insurance sector.

- Proven track record in management reporting and Board paper preparation.

Qualifications

- Degree in Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.

- Membership with CA ANZ, CPA Australia, or equivalent.
