Humphris Nursery, a successful and leading horticultural wholesale plant nursery in Mooroolbark (outer Eastern suburbs of Melbourne), is seeking a highly experienced, motivated and driven individual to manage their centralised distribution centre that distributes an extensive range of green life products. The role is fast paced, involving strict deadlines and adherence to high quality standards.

Responsibilities

- Dispatching of orders on a timely basis, ensuring strict product quality standards, picking, packing and labelling
- Warehouse Replenishment
- Adhering to quality control standards
- Overseeing scheduled deliveries (logistics and transport) into Distribution centres and other metro Melbourne customers as well as to regional VIC customers
- Ensure excellent customer service and efficient departmental productivity
- Team Development and Leadership
- Key driver of continuous improvement initiatives
- Overseeing and adhering to WHS requirements

Qualifications

- Excellent Leadership Skills and have the ability to lead and develop a team of approximately 40 people
- Warehouse Management Experience
- Process driven approach and able to identify and implement process and efficiency improvements
- Ability to multitask
- Hard working attitude and a keen eye for detail
- Excellent organisational and communication skills, the ability to work under time pressure and to organise, multi-task and prioritise activities
- Good time management skills, ability to work autonomously, have a strong work ethic, be a team player yet have the ability to work independently and show personal initiative
- Right attitude, takes pride in their work and has a genuine passion for achieving goals. Must be able to bring a high degree of enthusiasm to the job
- Horticulture Experience
