Process Improvement Specialist — Full-time, fixed term for 12 months. Location: Geelong (hybrid: 3 days in the office per week). Job number 927209. Base salary of $109,195 plus super and benefits.

Care in Action: With a career at the TAC, you’ll be helping us look out for the lives of everyone who travels on Victoria’s roads. That’s care in action.

Right now, we’re seeking a Process Improvement Specialist who will contribute to this shared purpose while supporting the progress of clients and colleagues so they can achieve great things. This is rewarding work that helps deliver life-critical services where it matters.

About the role

We’re seeking a proactive and analytical Process Improvement Specialist to help unlock efficiencies and prepare for the future. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on delivering tangible short-term wins while identifying strategic opportunities for long-term transformation—especially those enabled by automation and emerging technologies.

You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the business to uncover inefficiencies, facilitate workshops, and embed sustainable change. From process mapping and governance to risk mitigation and quality assurance, your insights will help simplify the complex and make every conversation count.

About the Team

You’ll join the Enterprise Transformation division, a dynamic and future-focused group driving strategic change across the organisation. You’ll work within a multidisciplinary environment with project managers, business analysts, change leads, and other transformation specialists to deliver impactful initiatives. You’ll also partner with the Claims Systems team to ensure improvements are grounded in operational reality and aligned with broader business goals. Together, we’re shaping smarter systems and better outcomes for our clients.

What we’re looking for

- Proven Experience in Process Improvement

- You’ve led initiatives across teams or divisions using Lean, Six Sigma or similar methodologies. You’re confident in process mapping, root cause analysis, and workshop facilitation—and you know how to turn insights into action.

- Strategic Thinking

- You balance short term improvements with long term transformation. You’re skilled at identifying automation opportunities and working with digital teams to bring them to life.

- Highly Developed Communication

- You’re comfortable engaging senior leaders, writing professional reports, and navigating risk and quality frameworks. You bring clarity to complex problems and help others do the same.

Why you’ll love it here

There’s more to work than a competitive salary and amazing employee benefits. As our newest Process Improvement Specialist you’ll also:

- Make a positive difference

Every day the work you do at the TAC contributes to something bigger. As part of an inclusive, supportive team you’ll find real purpose in achieving goals, together.

- Be rewarded for great work

We value our people, offering salary packaging and a reward and recognition program.

- Grow and go places

We’re invested in your progress. When you work for one of Victoria’s largest workplaces, you’ll receive extensive internal opportunities for development and access to learning resources.
