About the role

As a Senior Resource Geologist, reporting to the Superintendent Resource Geologist, you will be responsible for resource estimation and technical reporting of gold resources across our Mungari Operations. Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

- Construct 3D geological models of lithology, structure and mineralisation

- Use appropriate resource estimation techniques such as ordinary kriging to build high quality, accurate block models

- Reconcile updated resource block models against previous block models, grade control models and historical production

- Ensure the integrity of the geological database and master geological files on the network server

- Identify exploration targets and contribute to developing drilling budgets that will upgrade the mineral resource

- Preparing mineral resource technical reports and presentationsfor resource model estimationsto communicate risks and opportunities to management, engineers and other stakeholders

- Liaise with Mining Engineers to develop optimum mining limits, mine designs, dilution, ore recoveries, and schedules

- Develop standards, processes and other tools compliant with 2012 JORC Code guidelines. Ensure systems, standards and procedures for estimations are applied and drive resource estimation accuracy and quality.

About you

The Senior Resource Geologist role presents the opportunity for a tertiary qualified and motivated Geologist to join an operation that fosters and encourages development. It is important that you have/ can demonstrate:

- Bachelor's degree or higher in Geology

- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a geologist in mining. Underground, narrow vein gold is highly desirable.

- Minimum 3 years’ experience in resource estimation producing JORC compliant block models and documentation

- Good knowledge of geostatistics and block model validation

- Highly computer literate with expertise in geological modelling software

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Highly developed problem identification and solution conceptualisation

- Experience using Datamine, Leapfrog and Snowden Supervisor (desirable, but not essential)

- Knowledge of statutory acts and regulations, and legal requirements

- Demonstrate behaviours aligned with the Evolution Mining values

You will be either a resident of the Kalgoorlie/Boulder area and work a 5:2:4:3 (10-hour day), or FIFO from Perth working an 8:6 (12-hour day) roster, Thursday to Thursday.
