Touch of India (MS Khristi Group Pty Ltd) is a proudly Australian-owned hospitality business committed to delivering exceptional culinary experiences. With multiple outlets across Brisbane, as part of our growth, we are currently seeking a full-time passionate and experienced chef to join our dynamic kitchen team for our outlet based in Upper Mount Gravatt. We specialise in offering high-quality, authentic cuisine in a vibrant and customer-focused environment. Successful candidate can expect a yearly salary between $75,000 AUD to $80,000 AUD + Super.
Key Duties and Responsibilities may Include but not limited to:
• Plan menus, estimate food and labour costs, and order food supplies.
• Prepare and cook a wide range of dishes in accordance with the restaurant’s menu and food standards.
• Plan and organise kitchen operations, including food preparation, portioning, and plating.
• Ensure consistent quality, presentation, and taste of all dishes.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering food supplies as required.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen environment, complying with food safety regulations.
• Train and supervise kitchen staff and apprentices to ensure kitchen efficiency.
• Contribute to menu development and cost-effective planning.
Qualifications:
• 1–2 years of experience working as a Chef in a commercial kitchen or hospitality setting.
• Minimum relevant Diploma level qualification
• Strong knowledge of food safety, kitchen hygiene, and handling procedures.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent teamwork, time management, and organisational skills.
