Payroll Manager – Sydney Inner-City HQ

A privately owned Australian retail and services group is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to lead their payroll function. Excellent benefits and a modern, collaborative office environment.

Responsibilities
- Lead a team, including a system administrator, to deliver accurate fortnightly payroll
- Ensure compliance with Awards across Australia & NZ
- Manage PAYG, payroll tax, superannuation, terminations, redundancies
- Month-end and year-end reconciliations, reporting & audits
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
- Provide trusted payroll advice to HR, Finance and business leaders
Requirements
- 3+ years' payroll management experience in multi-entity or complex environments
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, Awards, agreements and complex payroll calculations
- Proven leadership and team development experience
- Experience with payroll systems such as Kronos or similar
- Strong compliance, reconciliation, reporting and audit skills
- Detail-oriented, accountable and comfortable working in a fast-paced business
