Location: Queanbeyan

The Package: $126,358.44 - $139,630.92 gross per annum + 12% super plus potential performance-based progression. Full-time – 35 hours per week. Flexible work arrangements may apply.

QPRC is looking for an experienced professional to lead our Human Resources and Organisational Development team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a passionate and innovative team and make a lasting impact in a progressive local government organisation.

Responsibilities

- Lead and motivate a professional HR team managing organisational development, recruitment, and payroll to deliver responsive, high-quality services.
- Provide expert advice on performance improvement and grievance handling.
- Utilise workforce analytics and people data to guide strategic decisions including workforce and succession planning, and training needs analysis.
- Coach leaders through complex management issues, change management, and annual performance appraisals.

Qualifications and experience

- Holds a relevant degree in Human Resources, Organisational Psychology, or Employee Relations.
- Has at least 5 years’ experience in HR, recruitment, and organisational development.
- Demonstrates strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Is experienced in managing change, coaching managers on performance issues, and workforce planning.
- Inspires, supervises, and develops teams to achieve operational and strategic goals.
