Job Description

This permanent, part-time opportunity offers hands on experience in the OSHC industry. You'll be supported every step of the way by a Director of Service, ensuring you have everything you need to thrive in your role.

Service Location

Newly established with plenty of room for growth, Mt Cotton is a large set-up, pack-down service with a DOS and Program Manager in support as well as a large roster of casuals who have great relationships with the 125 kids in the service. There is a strong emphasis on communication, attention to detail and teamwork.

Work Schedule

You’ll work across split shifts, Monday to Friday:

- BSC: 6:30am-9:00am
- ASC: 2:15pm-6:00pm

The Role

As the Second in Charge (2IC), you’ll be a key leader in delivering high-quality care and creating memorable experiences for the children in our service. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about childcare and leadership, ready to make a meaningful impact on the children, parents, and team.

Involved

- Engage with the school community, attending events and assemblies.
- Innovation: Assist with the creation and implementation of enriching experiences based on the preferences of the children in your program.
- Genuine: Foster genuine relationships with children and their families.
- Fun: Play and have FUN with primary school aged children.
- Remarkable: Support with ensuring your program is in compliance according to industry regulations.

The Successful Candidate

- Ideally you have previous experience working in Before and After School Care or education, but this is by no means essential - we can train you
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment and still a big kid at heart
- Confident communicator with children, parents, team members, and school principals.
- You're a strong team player with excellent problem-solving skills and a can-do, positive attitude.
- Passionate about creating enriching experiences for primary-aged children.
- Energetic, enthusiastic, and love to have FUN
- Relevant Diploma qualification (equivalent or working towards it) as per ACECQA standards.
