- This role is Permanent Full time 76 hrs/fortnight
- As our store operates 7 days per week, you must have the availability to work a rotating roster with a mix of day and evening shifts. You also have the availability to work 3 out of 4 weekends in a month (both Saturday and Sunday).
About this work area
As an IKEA Food Coordinator your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Contributing to the implementation of global and national compliance standards to secure a safe environment for customers and co-workers.
- Ensuring that every customer has a consistent and excellent shopping experience by supporting the team to see through the customer’s eyes.
- Applying the appropriate processes and actions daily to secure Food Safety, operational standards and reduce waste.
- Applying the retail foundation and sales steering tools to optimise commerciality and secure excellence in operations.
- Overseeing the daily operations of the commercial and/or operations team, including allocating tasks and coordinating breaks, while analysing processes to continually improve in daily operations and commercial activities.
- Contributing to the implementation of the unit business plan, IKEA Retail Food business plan and other action plans including the implementation of the global and national sustainability strategies.
As a Food Coordinator you are or have
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate the day-to-day operations on the floor and delegate tasks to others based on priorities.
- A customer centric mind-set, keeping the customer’s experience at the forefront of everything you do.
- Dedication to customer satisfaction, acting upon feedback to provide a safe, healthy, affordable and joyful food experience.
- Excellent communications skills with the ability to influence and communicate effectively at all levels.
