You’ll join a supportive team, gain exposure to diverse projects, and have the chance to support with new health and wellbeing initiatives at an exciting time of growth for Svitzer**How You’ll Make a Difference**Reporting to the Head of Industrial Relations, your key responsibilities will include:* Implement effective injury management, rehabilitation and return to work systems, principles and practices for work and non-work-related injury/illness and conditions.* Develop, implement and monitor recovery at work strategies to facilitate an employee’s early and safe recovery at work and ensure compliance with relevant work health and safety, workers compensation and injury management legislation and business policy and procedures.* Interact with relevant stakeholders including port teams, insurers and treating providers to drive strategies and ensure early intervention in treatment, claims management, recovery at work and claim resolution.* Engage and support with business operational teams to provide and implement strategies to support injured workers, develop return to work strategies and training for key roles as required.* Manage injury management and recovery at work records to a high standard in line with policy and procedures.* Collaborating closely with the broader WHS and RAW team, ensuring that incidents are responded to appropriately and crucial information is gathered and shared to effectively manage injuries and claims.* Collaborating closely with the P&C team on employee wellbeing initiatives that will create opportunities for improved health and wellbeing outcomes for the workforce**What You’ll Bring**To thrive in this role, you’ll bring:* Experience across multiple schemes and underwriting methods in varying jurisdictions* Exceptional claims management experience and oversight of payroll* Tertiary qualifications in WHS or an allied health field (preferred).* Return to Work Coordinator Certificate (NSW mandatory; other states desirable).* 5+ years’ experience in workers compensation and injury management* Strong knowledge of workers compensation and WHS legislation across multiple jurisdictions.* Proven ability to develop and implement initiatives relating to recovery at work, rehabilitation, and claims management that produce improved workers compensation claim outcomes.* Experience leading complex case portfolios and applying early intervention and wellbeing initiatives.* Capability in interpreting medical information, analysing data, and reporting on performance.* Ability to translate organisational strategy into practical health, wellbeing, and recovery initiatives that will generate positive outcomes for the organisation and workforce.**Building a Diverse Workplace**In Svitzer we value the diversity of our talent and will always strive to recruit the best person for the job – we value diversity in all its forms, including but not limited to gender, age, nationality, race, sexual orientation, disability, or religious beliefs.
