Purpose

As our newest Junior Accountant you will be looking after the financial health of our business, while also providing support to travel consultants in our Leisure brands (Flight Centre Brand, Travel Associates). You will need to have a disciplined financial control mindset, diligent work ethic, be proactive in finding solutions, have strong customer and teamwork skills, time management skills and ability to adapt in an ever‑changing environment.

What you'll be doing

- Support and training for offshore providers

- Perform EOM checks and action EOM transfer

- Assist with cash disbursements and invoice payments

- Assessment and management of stores financial health

- Engaging with area leaders, team leaders and consultants

- Review and analysis of Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet

- Respond to finance related queries from front end operations within SLA

- Constantly look to improve efficiencies within finance workflow processes

- Provide guidance and resolve queries related to wage model and bonus calculations

- Training and development for operational staff on finance related topics and expectations

- Protect our business by monitoring and reviewing at risk items such as, outstanding cash, audit ledgers, debit ledgers and unreconciled transactions

- Ensure compliance with company policies, relevant accounting standards and FCL minimum standards for financial systems and processes

Who you are

- High degree of flexibility and ability

- Completing an undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or similar or studying towards

- Interpersonal and communication skills with ability to develop relationships at all levels

- Strong teamwork skills
