Overview

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated float educator to join our team in Kirwan, Queensland on a part-time basis.

Position

Educator (Float relief cover in all rooms)

Status: Part-time – 37.5 hours per week

Hourly rate: $32.73 per hour, plus super

Qualifications: Diploma in Early Childhood Education/ACECQA approved

Centre name: One Tree Defence Unit – Coral Sea

Location: Kirwan, QLD 4817

In the North Queensland town of Townsville, you’ll find One Tree Defence Childcare Unit Coral Sea. Within this small service, you’ll find a long day care, nursery, toddler room and pre-school. The experienced team (and your new teammates) have created beautiful natural outdoor spaces where children, families and educators flourish.

We are seeking a Diploma-qualified Educator to cover in all rooms.

What you’ll do

- Work under the supervision of the Room Leader to provide high quality educational experiences and care for children.
- Build positive relationships with peers, families, and children
- Able to recognise and develop the strengths in children and your team
- Strong understanding of the Children/'s Services Regulations, Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
- Assist in ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for children and staff
- Reflect upon and improve your practice, ensuring you are gaining knowledge and skills that will assist in providing quality services to children and families
- Passion and enthusiasm and will want to have fun

Requirements

- Be eligible to work in Australia
- Holds a Diploma in Early Childhood Education/ACECQA approved equivalent
- Current Working with Children Check
- Satisfactory National Police Clearance
