Our Wantirna South campus is seeking multiple Secondary Learning Support Assistants who desire to play a vital role in creating an inclusive classroom environment where every student can thrive. We have roles ranging 3 to 5 days per week (8:50am-3:35pm, during term time).

With campuses in Wantirna South and Narre Warren South, the college has an enrolment of over 2400 students with 400 staff across both campuses in 2025.

Ideal candidate

You are an ideal candidate if you:

- Have as a minimum, a Certificate III or Certificate IV in Education Support, or be prepared to study towards one, or currently studying toward a degree in Teaching/Education
- Have a passion for supporting students with disabilities
- Are able to collaborate effectively with teachers, students, and other support staff
- Can demonstrate high level communication and interpersonal skills
- Have good administrative and Microsoft Office 365 skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Enjoy working in a team environment
- Are able to show a commitment to the values and ethos of Christian education
- Are willing to get involved in all aspects of the College’s programs and opportunities

Responsibilities

- Support students with learning difficulties and assist the teacher in planning and delivering inclusive learning activities
- Act as a bridge between students and their teachers; help foster connections with peers
- Help ensure each student can actively participate in class and school activities

Requirements and Compliance

All potential employees will be required to comply with the College’s Child Safety Code of Conduct, Child Safety Policy, and Student Wellbeing Policy. A Working with Children’s Check and a Police Check less than three months old are mandatory prior to being hired. A current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011), CPR Certificate (HLTAID009), and Anaphylaxis Certificate (22578VIC) are also required prior to starting in the role.
