About the opportunity
An exciting, newly created role exists for a highly motivated Psychologist to join our team. This is a chance to be part of something exciting, to grow with our organisation, and to be a part of a collaborative, energetic, multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify communication and speech disorders.
- Develop personalised treatment plans tailored to each client’s needs and goals.
- Implement evidence-based interventions to improve speech, language, and communication skills.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care.
- Offer guidance and support to clients' families and caregivers.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and progress reports.
- Perform all other duties as required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Hold a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Psychology.
- Previous experience in Psychology within the NDIS preferable but not essential.
- Pre-existing registration with AHPRA (full or provisional registration).
- Demonstrated ability to interact with participants, their families and service providers.
- Demonstrated knowledge of legislation.
- Experience in working with people with complex needs including, complex trauma, adults and the elderly with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability, and other complex and mental health diagnoses.
- A high level of written and verbal communication skills, particularly in advocacy, mediation, negotiation and conflict resolution
- Ability to work to productivity targets.
- Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment as well as autonomously and take ownership of a caseload of participants.
- Hold a current WWCC (Blue Card), NDIS Worker Screening, First Aid & CPR.
- Hold a valid Australian driver’s license.
