You've Done the Hard Yards. Now You're Ready for Something More.
Senior Psychologist | Trauma-Informed | Rockingham, WA | 3+ days |
You've been in the field for a while now.
You've worked in busy systems, juggled full caseloads, managed complex presentations, and adapted to the ever-changing demands of our profession.
You're good at what you do.
But you're ready for more.
More meaning. More support. More alignment.
Less burnout. Less bureaucracy. Less pretending you're fine when you're running on empty.
If that resonates, you might be exactly who we're looking for.
About the Role
At Sound Psychology, we're looking for an experienced psychologist (3-5+ years post-reg) to join our warm, collaborative team in a flexible, part-time or full-time role. This position is designed for someone who values:
- Trauma-informed, integrative clinical work
- Relational, client-centred care
- Working as part of a small, respectful team
- Staying connected to what drew you to this work in the first place
We're not chasing KPIs. We're not here to churn clients.
We're here to do good work that helps people thrive—and to support each other in the process.
If You've Felt Any of the Following, You'll Feel Right at Home:
- "I'm carrying too many clients and it's wearing me down."
- "I love this work, but I miss being part of a team that shares, reflects, and grows together."
- "I want to use more of my clinical wisdom—not just follow someone else's manual."
- "I'm tired of ticking boxes. I want to work somewhere that still feels human."
- "I'm ready for the next version of my career."
What You Can Expect Here
Flexible hours & scheduling (no clients outside of your booked time)
A strong referral base stemming from long-term reputation management
Diarised admin time, caseload monitoring, and burnout prevention strategies
CPD allowance, in-house individual and group supervision, clinical team trainings, Mental Health Academy membership
Beautifully styled consulting rooms that feel like a calm retreat
Admin support that actually helps
A practice owner (Heather) who cares about the people, not just the practice
"This is the kind of leadership that doesn't just build careers—it nurtures souls."
– team member
Who You Are
Fully registered psychologist (3-5+ years post-registration)
Experience in private practice or equivalent settings
Trauma-informed, relational, integrative approach
Skilled in both assessment and intervention across varied client needs
Open to feedback-informed treatment & utilisation of outcome measurement
Warm, grounded, reflective—and still curious
About Us
Sound Psychology is a thriving private practice based in Rockingham, WA.
Our values—Care & Compassion, Authenticity, Integrity, Service, and Best Practice—aren't just on our walls. They show up in how we treat our clients, and how we treat each other.
We serve a broad community, with many clients navigating trauma, defence force transitions, and life upheavals. You'll be joining a small, close-knit team that shares knowledge, celebrates wins, and keeps each other grounded.
Ready to Chat?
We'd love to hear from you—especially if you've been thinking,
"There's got to be a better way to do this work I love."
