The Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to join our team on a full-time basis, supporting patients across the Day of Surgery Lounge.
In this rewarding role, you will play a vital part in ensuring patient comfort, dignity, and safety, while also contributing to the smooth and efficient operation of the hospital. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a Certificate III in Aged Care or Health Services who is passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centred care in a supportive and fast-paced environment.
As a PCA, you will:
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility.
- Contribute to a safe and welcoming environment, prioritising patient wellbeing and comfort at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist clinical staff in providing high-quality care and patient support.
- Provide transport services using hospital-approved equipment and vehicles.
- Assist patients on admission and help them settle comfortably.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in patient rooms and shared areas in line with infection control standards.
About You
You thrive in a busy hospital setting, are able to adapt quickly to changing demands, and consistently uphold high standards of service and professionalism.
To be successful, you will have:
- Certificate III in Aged Care, Health Services, or Care Support (desirable).
- Experience working in a clinical hospital setting.
- Strong understanding of infection control, manual handling, and hospital safety procedures.
- Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent time management and interpersonal skills.

Requirements
- Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
