The Opportunity
The role of Systems Support Officer is to oversee the maintenance and management of systems used by the Corporate Treasury Services business unit, the processing of transactions and the prioritisation and progression of initiatives to improve and expand the delivery of high-quality cost-effective products and services.
In this role, you will ensure accurate recording of transactions within WATC’s systems and in reporting to internal and external stakeholders including clients and WATC’s management. The role entails the maintenance and remediation of system issues, activities and initiatives that impact the Corporate Treasury Services business unit and ensuring these are managed within WATC’s governance framework to deliver high-quality, cost-effective products and services. Additionally, you will provide consistent and reliable resource estimates for projects and initiatives, helping to shape comprehensive business and client portfolio plans that optimise resource allocation and drive overall success.
Key activities of this role include (but are not limited to):
- Supervise and mentor the Client Support Officer, directing their activities in accordance with WATC’s governance and policy framework;
- Provide advice to the Head of Corporate Treasury Services on the remediation and management of system issues impacting the business unit and resourcing impact of initiatives and projects;
- Manage initiatives within a framework that initiates, prioritises, progresses and monitors initiatives and activities;
- Promote a culture of collaboration and teamwork across the Corporate Treasury Services business unit and WATC more broadly;
- Oversee the review and updating of business unit processes and procedures by nominated process owners and experts;
- Oversee the process to identify and remediate system and reporting issues impacting the business unit, and seek the input and assistance of business unit members where necessary.
About You
WATC is keen to employ a Systems Support Officer who has a genuine interest in business systems and governance; has a solutions focused attitude; brings strong advocacy and prioritisation skills; and has experience working within a client focused team to deliver, maintain, or enhance system solutions and process improvements, in collaboration with an organisation’s ICT team.
If you have a combination of the following experience and capabilities and align with WATC’s values outlined below, we would love to hear from you:
- Experience managing end-to-end financial data workflows, including data capture, extraction, reporting, system testing, and integration between systems (such as Quantum TMS, MS Dynamics);
- Skills in process mapping and workflow analysis to identify inefficiencies and optimise business processes;
- Sound knowledge of project management tools, process mapping tools and error logging tools (such as Atlassian Suite, ProMapp);
- Ability to lead, coach and mentor team members;
- Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle;
- Knowledge of data visualisation tools (non-essential).
