The Role

As one of our Mobile Service & Sales Technicians, you will be expected to deliver consistent, accurate, high quality field service and plant & machinery repair work to our customers. The job will challenge you to provide solutions and build relationships with a variety of customer types. This is a hands-on role where there is travel to sites within Port Hedland and surrounding areas, to replace hoses in a breakdown situation or to complete new installation work on plant & machinery. Our role is best suited to applicants who reside in the Port Hedland area or are ready and willing to relocate. A major part of the position is to be available to participate in a 24 hour on call roster split between the other technicians. You will also be responsible for developing, building and maintaining relationships with your group of key customers, both new and existing.

To be considered for this position you can be any gender, age, ethnicity, size or shape but you must have:

• A mechanical background

Previous hose assembly experience is not essential; however, you will ideally have:

• A trade certificate and/or previous experience within the Hydraulics industry being highly regarded
• A strong understanding of and a commitment to faultless customer service
• Strong verbal and written communication and numerical skills
• Organised and reliable, with a team player attitude
• An underlying level of urgency balanced with strict attention to detail
• A willingness to travel long distances to mine sites and stay overnight
• The ability to think on your feet and solve problems under pressure
• The ability to obtain a current Western Australian LR driver’s licence (essential)

This is a residentially based role in sunny Port Hedland, home to the largest bulk port by volume in the southern hemisphere. It’s a town packed with leisure activities, entertainment centres, sporting options, and a strong arts & culture community. Add to that a bountiful coastline and some of the best camping spots found anywhere in Australia and your weekends are well and truly catered for.

The successful candidate will be provided with a light rigid vehicle, plus full product and job training. You will enjoy above award wages and conditions if you are the successful applicant.
