The Lord Nelson Brewery are one of Australia's original craft breweries, having launched in The Rocks in the 1980s. If you'd like to brew in such hallowed halls, you're in luck: they're searching for an assistant brewer.

Job Description: Assistant Brewer

The Lord Nelson Brewery Hotel team is growing, and we are looking for an experienced assistant brewer to join us

About Us: The Lord Nelson Brewery Hotel is Australia’s oldest pub brewery, renowned worldwide for award-winning natural ales. We brew using only malt, hops, yeast, and water, with no added sugars, preservatives, or additives—ensuring a 100% natural beer.

This is a casual, three-day-a-week position with the opportunity to increase hours for the right candidate. The role is based in The Rocks, Sydney.

What We’re Looking For:

- Experience as a Brewer: A minimum of 2 years brewing experience in a professional brewery.
- Enthusiasm for Craft Beer: A genuine passion for craft beer and brewing.
- Attention to Detail: A keen eye for quality and consistency in brewing.
- Team Player: Ability to work well within a team and contribute positively to our brewery culture.
- Strong Work Ethic: Reliable, punctual, and committed to producing excellent craft beer.
- Travel: Flexibility to travel between our two brewery locations during work hours.

Responsibilities:

- Assist in the brewing process, including cleaning and sanitising equipment, monitoring fermentation, and packaging.
- Operate brewing equipment while adhering to safety and quality standards.
- Support inventory management and supply chain processes.
- Participate in taste testing and quality control.
- Perform general bar and brewery duties.
- Must have a valid RSA.
