What you’ll be doing

This will depend on your previous experience. You might bekind-of new to the community and youth services sector butcomfortable in driving a 12-seater van. You’ll spend thefirst few days learning the ropes. Don’t stress, you’llhave a great mentor to work with. To start you’ll assist yourEEAI Coordinator with logistics while establishing relationshipswith students and their families. Once you’ve settled in,you’ll then take ownership of some school attendance pick upsand drop offs, support students to have positive educationalexperiences at school (& outside of school) and help familiesbe the centre of their children’s education. You’ll be great in this role ifyou…

- Get a buzz when making a meaningful and positive impactwith young people and families

- Have excellent people skills with the ability to relatewith students, parents, teachers, community leaders &external agencies

- Hold a strong indigenous cultural awareness and knowledgeof local cultures

- Have a knack for bringing people together and fosteringpositive relationships between stakeholders

- Hold an Australian driver’s licence (WA C class orequivalent)

- Can obtain a National Police Certificate and Working withChildren card
