The Role:
As Station Manager at Kamilaroi, you will be at the forefront of Stanbroke’s renowned Wagyu and genetics program, leading daily station operations to deliver exceptional livestock performance. This role combines the challenge of managing a large-scale breeding enterprise with the reward of contributing to one of Australia’s most respected Wagyu herds. Your leadership will be pivotal in driving safety, productivity, and innovation while fostering a collaborative, high-performing team.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Leading and managing a team of station employees and contractors with a focus on safety, well-being, and high-performance standards.
- Driving a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with all workplace health and safety regulations.
- Overseeing cattle operations, including mustering, husbandry, and stock movements, with an emphasis on Wagyu herd performance and genetic improvement.
- Monitoring and maintaining water systems, fencing, and station infrastructure.
- Implementing effective grazing and pasture management strategies to optimise livestock health and weight gain.
- Managing budgets, reporting, and adhering to company policies.
- Communicating effectively with all stakeholders to ensure seamless operations and team cohesion.
Who We’re Looking For:
- A results-driven leader with a genuine passion for livestock breeding, genetics, and animal performance.
- Proven experience in station management or a comparable leadership role within the cattle industry.
- Commitment to safety as a non-negotiable priority.
- Exceptional livestock handling skills, including experience with high-value stud or Wagyu cattle.
- Strong understanding of breeding programs, genetic selection, and performance data analysis.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire, mentor, and motivate teams.
- Sound business acumen with the ability to manage budgets and report accurately.
- Technological proficiency, including station management software and digital tools.
Why Join Stanbroke?
