Your new role
As a Principal Practitioner you will strengthen the practice skills and knowledge of Practitioners, leading a practice culture that is evidence based and integrates theory, research and known consumer outcomes into practice. You will also support practice across all Uniting programs as required to ensure practice is inclusive, timely, collaborative, client centred and aligned to the Uniting Therapeutic Model of Care (TMoC).
You will work alongside the Eastern Melbourne teams, to ensure practice excellence through the provision of coaching, reflective practice and secondary consultation and evidence-based decision making. The role will utilise various sources of data to reflect on practice, track fidelity and interventions into practice, driving improved outcomes for consumers.

Your skills and experience
To be successful in your application you will meet the person specification in the position description, including a degree in Social Work, Psychology or a related tertiary qualification relevant to child and family welfare
You will also have
- Current valid Australian Drivers Licence
- Extensive theoretical underpinning, particularly in trauma theory, attachment theory, and trauma neurobiology
- Extensive experience working with vulnerable children, young people, and families
- Extensive experience in Trauma Informed Practice
- Proven ability to deliver high quality practice development activities including training, secondary consultation, and facilitation of reflective practice
