About the role
We are currently looking for Bone Marrow Donor Coordinator in Adelaide who would be responsible for the administration, coordination and management of haemopoietic stem cell donor recruitment through active engagement of community groups as well as overseeing donor liaison and relationship management.
Our Bone Marrow Donor Centre (BMDC) is the donor recruitment arm of the Australian Bone Marrow Donor Registry (ABMDR). This role will include arranging testing, screening of potential donors and arranging donation appointments to help recruit donors with Bone Marrow Donor Registry. To do so you would be partnering with our Regional Partnership team, Donor Centres & community groups.

Knowledge of stem cell transplantation & Venepuncture skills is highly desirable.
Good understanding of blood donation, tissue typing, and sample testing.
Experience in recruitment, management of donors including education, confidentiality and donor suitability would be highly regarded.
Ability to independently present information sessions to medical and public group.
Strong customer service skills to establish and maintain strong working relationship with internal & external stakeholders.
Strong administration and organizational skills
Comfortable travelling within and outside of business hours (if required).
Permanent part-time opportunity
- 45.6 hours a fortnight(approx.). Considering the nature of work, some flexibility around working days would be required.
Location - Donor Centre within Adelaide, South Australia Office at CBD (Currie Street), Women’s and Children’s Hospital (North Adelaide) and visiting community/events. On days when travelling is not required, the suitable person can work from home.
