**About the team**
The Community and Place branch sits within TfNSW’s Greater Sydney division. The Greater Sydney division integrates transport modes, critical infrastructure and services to support Sydney’s growing metropolitan population, projected to swell to over 12 million within the next 40 years.
Community and Place engages with customers, communities and stakeholders within our Greater Sydney region to understand their needs. We do this to ensure our infrastructure projects and transport services make a positive contribution to people’s lives, create vibrant communities and support a sustainable future.
Right now, we’re part of delivering the largest transport infrastructure program in Australia’s history, shaping our cities, centres and communities for generations to come.
**The opportunity**
Community and Place currently has multiple opportunities for a Manager, Communications Stakeholder & Engagement - Active Transport to join their team.
This particular role will see you manage the development and implementation of strategic and corporate communications for Active Transport projects, as part of a record-breaking spend on infrastructure across NSW.
This position will see you:
- Assist in the establishment of effective communications platforms that are flexible, responsive and can be targeted to type of audience for each type of communication and address the diverse needs of the organisation.
- Work across the organisation interacting with key internal stakeholders to ensure that diverse communication activities remain aligned to strategic and corporate communication principles and strategies.
- Manage the development and production of strategic and corporate communications materials,
- Ensure the management and work of contractors and consultants engaged to support the delivery of strategic and corporate communications is effective and complies with procurement guidelines.
**This is a Temporary Full-Time position to December 2025.**
Whilst the main office hub is located in Parramatta, the role offers incredibly flexible, hybrid working as the Community and Place team are located throughout NSW.

**About you**
You will demonstrate impeccable communication skills, both written and verbal, as you will partner with various internal and external stakeholders to assist in the delivery of communications campaigns for our customers.
We are looking for a strategic, creative, big-picture thinker, who can adapt quickly and manage competing priorities in an everchanging environment.
A genuine interest in Active Transport and sustainable travel practices would also be highly regarded.
Formal qualifications in a relevant field are a bonus, but not essential.
