**About the job**:

- The Lower Hunter Sexual Assault Service (LHSAS) is located in the Health Services Building at the HNE High Street Campus, Maitland. The service operates Monday - Friday. The team consists of three (3) full time equivalent positions, Team Leader and two (2) Level 3 positions. The Service provides specialist counselling to children, young people and adults who have experienced a recent or a past sexual assault and their non-offending family members.
- The Senior Social Worker - Sexual Assault Team Leader will be responsible for the management of the LHS Sexual Assault Service including HR, WHS, networking, quality management and hold a Clinical Role. The role is the LHS Safety Action Meeting Lead for Lower Hunter which includes management of the SAM meeting agenda and file review roster for two (2) SAM meetings.
- This role also provides support to other Social Workers located on the High St Campus, who are employed within the Lower Hunter Sector. There will be an opportunity to act in the Head of Social Work role.
- This role is part of the Lower Hunter Senior Social Work Team, also sitting within the VAN Clinical Stream. In this role you will be supported by the Head of Discipline for Social Work for LHS. You will be required to attend the Education Centre Against Violence Core Sexual Assault training if you have not already completed it.

**Requirements**:

- Must hold as a minimum a bachelor degree in social work which provides eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers, or other qualification deemed equivalent by the employer.
- The skills to work independently and autonomously. Advanced Administrative and Leadership skills and enjoy working within a team environment.
- The Clinician will need to be a specialist in Sexual Assault with advanced therapeutic skills.
