**About the Role**
This is a new role for our service, and you will work alongside multidiscipline professionals made up of Nurses, Counsellors, an Aboriginal Health Worker and Administration staff to manage clients who have identified as having an Opiate dependency. You will provide a professional, trauma informed social work service that addresses the psychosocial aspects of care by providing interventions including crisis intervention, brief intervention, advocacy, service coordination, education and resources to clients.

Reporting to the Nursing Unit Manager and Allied Health Clinical Lead, the position is pivotal in ensuring the effective management and support of individuals undergoing Opiate Dependence Treatment within the community.

**Information for Applicants**:
This is a Category A position. Recommended applicants will be reviewed for compliance with NSW Health policy directive PD2023_022: Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination against Specific Diseases for Category A positions prior to offer. All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). Acceptable proof of COVID-19 vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement (IHS), or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate, or AIR COVID-19 and Influenza IHS. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
