About the role
The Statewide Bariatric Surgery Service Co-ordinator is responsible for the coordination of complex interdisciplinary care to patients at a Statewide level across the continuum of care throughout their surgical journey and for coordinating the multidisciplinary clinical and administrative team to deliver an equitable service to patients across the Queensland.
About you
Knowledge, skills and expertise
Clinical Practice
- Advanced service coordination knowledge within a multidisciplinary team
- Well-developed clinical experience including a comprehensive understanding of the clinical care continuum for patients accessing surgical care within a state-wide service

Communication
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills and high-level interpersonal and negotiation skills

Leadership and management
- Ability to monitor and report on clinical work practices and outcomes, as well as initiate, plan and evaluate local service improvement initiatives
- Ability to provide supervision to staff to ensure the maintenance of service and professional standards
