**About us**:
The Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute is dedicated to finding cures for cardiovascular disease through world class medical research. Established in 1994, it is the legacy of legendary heart transplant surgeon Victor Chang. Renowned for the quality of its breakthroughs, the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute is working to discover better ways to diagnose, treat and ultimately prevent the onset of heart disease.

**The role**:
The Donor Care Coordinator is the first point of contact for Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute's supporters including its regular givers. The role focuses on the acquisition and retention of long-term donors to the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute.

**Duties and responsibilities include**:

- Building and maintaining relationships with donors to improve loyalty and donor retention
- Handle administrative duties including processing appeal donations, donor care, acquisition, and retention activities to assist with overall growth in fundraising income
- Working with the Fund Development team members to support continuous improvement in fundraising processes
- Providing exceptional customer service to donors and the public

**About you**:
You are motivated and dynamic. If not already working in the not for profit sector you may be someone with a customer service background who would like to move into a role with a purpose. This is an opportunity to expand your horizons and learn how to run a Regular Giving fundraising program. You are able to work autonomously whilst enjoying a team focused environment.. You want to grow your career and are committed to continued professional development.

**We would like to meet you if you have**:

- Strong administrative and numerical skills with the ability to analyse data with an attention to detail, including CRM's
- Demonstrated superior customer service skills, high degree of empathy and the ability to resolve conflict and objection handle in a professional manner
- Call centre experience or confident in making phone calls to donors is a must, as donor retention is a key element to this role
- Ability to work within a team, but equally ready to take ownership over the role and all required tasks
- Experience with Raisers Edge or a similar database is an advantage
- Proven highly developed organisational and time management skills
- Creative problem solver and can-do attitude toward finding solutions
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
