**About the role**

As Commissioning Manager - Asset Management, you will undertake effective and efficient commissioning of new assets and asset enhancement projects to achieve required business outcomes.

Working within the Asset Commissioning Team, you will gain exposure to a large group of internal and external stakeholders within the Water Industry in WA.

This role will also involve field work and travel; working with delivery contractors, quality inspectors and operations staff to test and bring new assets into service across some of the most beautiful regional locations in the state.

**What you’ll do**
- Determine asset commissioning strategies and objectives for project teams based on the asset management objectives, operating needs and design criteria.
- Prepare commissioning plans, specifications and schedules in accordance with the Water Corporation’s commissioning guidelines and procedures including integration with the overall project schedule.
- Review commissioning plans prepared by external consultants or contractors to ensure the Water Corporation’s business requirements are met.
- Facilitate commissioning meetings and participate in Project Team Meetings to build relationships and working partnerships to ensure new assets are efficiently commissioned.
- Plan and lead system commissioning activities when required, especially on complex brownfield sites and to connect new assets into our water and wastewater networks.
- Review quality documentation and performance tests to produce commissioning reports which record and communicate to internal stakeholders whether new assets have met the needs of the Water Corporation.

**Key skills and experience**
- Commissioning, Engineering or Operational background in the water & wastewater utility or process industry with leadership exposure
- Knowledge of work practices and systems relevant to commissioning, asset management and quality assurance in a utility or process industry
- Experience in planning and progressing work activities using initiative and judgement to deliver outcomes
- Practical on-site asset testing and start-up or operational experience
