**The Project**
The Midland Station (Cale Street) Project is being delivered by Midland Junction Alliance (**MJA**) comprising of Public Transport Authority of Western Australia (PTA), MCD, Georgiou Group Pty Limited, BG&E and Arcadis.
- The project involves the design and construction of a new Midland Train station and associated rail infrastructure. The project also includes the construction of a new Multi Story Car Park, Driver Sign on Building, New Bus Interchange, Roads and Principal Shared Path.
- After more than 50 years, the Midland Station will have a new home bringing it closer to the heart of the Midland Town Centre. The new station location will improve connections to Midland Gate Shopping Centre and Midland Health Campus, while maintaining the railway’s central role to enhance work opportunities and community life in the area.

McConnell Dowell Constructors (Aust.) Pty Ltd are currently recruiting for a Test and Commission Lead to join our team to work on an exciting rail project in the Midland area as part of work delivering and commissioning new facilities and infrastructure for the PTA. The project includes the construction of earthworks, drainage, electrical, building, and rail infrastructure. Working in metropolitan Perth, this is an exciting project for an experienced Civil Lead to join our team.
- The Commissioning Manager is accountable for leading the testing and commissioning phase of our project.
- **You will be accountable for**:

- Reporting to Commissioning Manager for all Rail systems testing and commissioning activities
- Develop and implement testing and commissioning plans for rail systems, ensuring compliance with SWTC, safety standards and regulations.
- Deliver all commissioning, testing and operational readiness pre-requisites to successfully handover a rail system to the client
- Lead a team of contractors testing and commissioning Engineers, technicians to execute the testing and commissioning plan.
- Work with Construction team discipline leads, SESA team and other stakeholders to identify testing and commissioning requirements and timelines.
- Ensure that all testing and commissioning activities are documented, tracked, and reported accurately and in a timely manner.
- Manage the risk associated with testing and commissioning activities and take corrective actions, as necessary.
- Coordinate with other discipline such as SRE(Supplier Responsible Engineer), PTA PE(Project Engineer), operations, maintenance, and safety to ensure a smooth transition from testing to revenue service.
- Monitor and report on the progress of testing and commissioning activities to management and stakeholders.
- Ensure that testing and commissioning activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and within budget.
- Actively participate and coordinate all elements of commissioning including:

- Participate with the completions team for final handover and asset acceptance
- Participate in possessions and shutdowns as required to enable work to progress

**Requirements for this role will be**:

- Minimum Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
- Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) - Desirable
- At least 7-10 years of experience in rail systems testing and commissioning, preferably in a lead role.
- Strong knowledge of rail systems and associated technologies, including signaling and communications systems and traction power systems
- Understanding of safety regulations and standards related to rail systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
- Ability to manage multiple project task and stakeholders.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work After hours to execute T&C activities Safely and efficiently
