**Full time Ongoing Role (80 hours Per Fortnight +ADO)**
- The Director Office of Cancer Education is a pivotal role supporting implementation of the Peter Mac’s Strategic Direction: ‘World-class cancer education’.- The Director works closely with the Chief Nursing Officer and educators organisation-wide to support education and learning opportunities for all staff, students, patients, carers and the broader cancer community.
- The director has a key focus on management of education governance, driving development of quality education programs, establishing education evaluation and research approaches, supporting development of patient education programs, driving the ongoing development of the learning management system, working with patients and consumers to inform education activities, building partnerships with national and international health services and expanding key relationships with universities.
- The Director also works closely with the clinical education teams to support development of interprofessional clinical education approaches, and with Quality and Safety, People and Culture, Patient Experience and Wellbeing, and other departments to support specialist and mandatory training programs.- This is an ongoing full-time role (40 hours per week plus ADOs), reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer as Executive sponsor for Education.- This role requires applicants with extensive clinical or management experience within a large, complex healthcare or other relevant organisation; demonstrated commitment to high quality care through the provision of high-quality education opportunities for staff and health information services for patients and their families/carers; a strong understanding of a Learning Management Systems/ Platforms, and understanding of education frameworks; a comprehensive understanding of the workforce challenges relating to clinical education needs, and excellent communication skills to support collaborations and management of a complex portfolio.Applicants to this role should provide a covering letter outlining relative key skills and experience to assist us with our assessment.-
