**Responsibilities**:
The role of an Instrumental Music Instructor may include but is not limited to:

- Direct instructing of groups of students and individual students;
- Contributing to the development, implementation and evaluation of the Music curriculum area within the school;
- Undertaking other instructing related and organisational duties as determined by the School Principal and/or the Managers of Instrumental Music;
- Participating in such activities as parent/teacher meetings: staff meetings, concerts, camps and excursions;
- Complying with the timetable and professional ethos of the school;
- Creating a positive environment conducive to learning for the students of whom he or she is in charge in line with the school¿s well-being and pastoral care policies;

McKinnon Secondary College is a Year 7 to 12 co-educational school with a student population of over 2500. The College was founded in 1954 in the south-eastern Melbourne suburb of McKinnon.
