The Project Officer position is available within the Asset Program Allocations Unit, which is part of the Asset Planning Branch of the VSBA.
The VSBA brings together DET's existing expertise in project management, the latest ideas in school design, and a dedicated community engagement team to deliver the right schools for local communities. In June 2018, the VSBA developed an overarching four-year strategic framework, which identifies VSBA's five Group objectives. It alsocaptures VSBA's vision, "to build a bright and better education future for Victoria".
VSBA - Asset Management and StrategyAsset Management and Strategy is responsible for setting VSBA's strategic policy direction, shaping portfolio investment decisions, developing and implementing programs that address accessibility, inclusion and accommodation initiatives, and building school capacity to manage assets.
**Keys responsibilities of the role include**:
- Promoting and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders within the Authority and across the Department.
- Providing data analysis using various data sources for program and costings analysis to feed into funding decisions.
- Responding to requests for information from the Minister's Office and Executive team of the VSBA.
- Developing and writing briefs and policies to implement and improve program management and governance
- Collaborating with other units to determine and maintain best practice data management and collection and interpretation.
- Maintain and monitor strong project administration for programs that addresses school maintenance and enrolment growth.
