Our guide and assistance dogs’ programs do just that. Whether it be through the provision of a Guide dog, Assistance dog for Veterans with PTSD or Therapy dog to work with children with Autism. The Administration Assistant plays an important part in this team.

**The opportunity**

Core to the success of our dogs’ program is a large group of passionate volunteers who care for our puppies in their homes, giving them a great start to life and helping us lay the foundations for their incredible journey.

The Administration Assistant will provide comprehensive administrative support to the Guide and Assistance Dog Services team by arranging volunteer induction, being the first point of contact for volunteers, providing ongoing support and ensuring volunteer records and other compliance needs are maintained.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

- Administration and data entry.
- Invoicing of service provision, equipment, medicine, and food as required.
- Organisation and follow up on Dog’s veterinary care including vaccines and worming.
- Completion of documentation on withdrawn dogs.
- Respond to all general enquiries on assistance dogs (OPK9, Autism).
- Arrange emergency boarding as required.
- Stock Management

**Your skills and expertise**

You will have the ability to:

- Ability to work in a dynamic, and fast-paced, office environment with dogs present at all times.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including the ability to relate to persons of all ages.
- Strong computer skills and data entry
- Ability to work under pressure with strong personal organisational, planning, and prioritising skills.

**Special Conditions**
- Clearances including National Criminal History Check and Department of Human Services (DHS) and NDIS screening will be required before commencement.
- Current driver’s license.
