Your Role and Responsibilities

The APAC Marketing Programs Manager plays an integral role in delivering programs to both Apptio’s installed base of APAC customers and growth programs in the ANZ region. This role is ideal for an Event or Programs manager who has a passion for creating unique, persuasive in-person and virtual experiences that engage current and prospective customers. You thrive on developing event strategies and managing programs that ensure optimal experiences and return on investment and aren’t afraid of rolling up your sleeves to manage the nitty gritty details - from ordering swag to catering menus.

This individual’s management and coordination of operational activities is vital to the execution of the programs, initiatives, and day to day team functionality. We work to build and promote the success of our customers with a ‘can-do’ attitude and a focus on finding creative sustainable solutions.

What we want you to do:
60% Event Marketing: Manage event strategy and execution for third party ANZ event sponsorships and company-hosted events, ranging from 50-300 attendees, and manage components of Apptio’s annual user conference. Specific responsibilities include:

- Developing a strategy and plan for each event and managing logistics end to end
- Managing venue selection, contracts, securing F&B, determining room layout, etc.
- Working closely with field marketing, SDR, sales and Customer Success teams to ensure thorough event recruitment and follow-up
- Setting and achieving event attendance, lead and opportunity goals and reporting out on performance
- Ensuring events are executed on time and on budget

40% Customer Program Management & Engagement: Lead the development and execution of the engagement and expansion strategy for our APAC customer installed base, delivering the best customer experience possible, while turning customers into advocates. In doing this, you’ll build and manage global customer marketing programs to increase renewals, referrals, and cross-sell and upsell opportunities.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Basic Qualifications:

- 6+ years of project and event management experience in B2B
- 4+ years of marketing copywriting experience in B2B
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or a related field and/or 10 years of experience required.

Desired Qualifications:

- Strong interpersonal communication skills to interface with regional and global corporate executives, and internal teams
- Demonstrated ability in strategic thinking and impeccable execution with the ability to organize a series of tasks into end-to-end programs
- Detail oriented team player willing to work in a small, interconnected office environment maintaining a positive and constructive attitude
- Organized with a strong initiative in time management, work prioritization and independent thinking with a bias toward quick action

Knowledge
- Demonstrated ability in strategic thinking and impeccable execution with the ability to organize a series of tasks into end-to-end programs
- Data-driven with analytical aptitude
- Well versed in latest event tactics and trends
- Passion for serving and understanding customers.
- Interpersonal skills to help them nurture customer relationships and work with cross-functional teams.
- Strategic thinking capabilities that can see beyond the day-to-day grind to help reach marketing and sales goals, create a stronger brand, and improve the customer experience
