**About the role**:
As the successful applicant, you will be a part of a dedicated team within the Legal Project Management and Coordination Unit (LPMCU), Legal Business Operations Division, Legal Services Department, Victoria Police.

**The LPMCU provides**:

- Project management and coordination of Legal Services Department and Victoria Police projects.
- Legal Services Department information technology coordination, purchasing and support.
- Application management and business support for the Central Brief Storage System (CBSS).
- Central Brief Storage System (CBSS) Disclosure Service - a brief-sharing model between Victoria Police and legal practitioners across Victoria.
- Victoria Police Transcription Service.

There is an opportunity for the successful applicant to perform a variety of roles within the above listed business functions and the associated portfolios of work that are necessary for the LPMCU to meet its service delivery requirements.

**Your duties will include**:

- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with key personnel across business units, Commands and Divisions as well as other police and Government agencies.
- Report on the progress of assigned tasks, to ensure service delivery targets and key milestones are achieved.
- Business process, gap analysis and preparatory research for projects managed by LPMCU.
- Prepare and author reports, including analysis papers, briefing notes, proposals, correspondence and submissions for a range of stakeholders, including unit/portfolio managers and senior management.
- Managing workflow/s associated with a specific business function of the LPMCU.
- Other duties and involvement in LPMCU initiatives and activities as directed.

**As the successful applicant, you will have**:

- Proven skills with the capability to achieve meaningful goals and undertake competing priorities, whilst always maintaining attention to detail.
- An understanding of IT systems and how they support business processes.
- Proven ability to prioritise and complete tasks to meet strict deadlines in an environment of limited supervision.
- Demonstrated experience working within a dynamic team environment.
- Well-developed interpersonal, verbal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering outcomes against set targets and key performance indicators.
- Proven ability to monitor client and stakeholder satisfaction, and constructively manage stakeholder issues to ensure positive outcomes.

**Requirements and relevant information**:

- One (1) x full-time, fixed term position (until 31 March 2024) available.
- This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
- Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
- The successful applicant will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
- As a member of the Legal Services Department you will be located, on selection, at a specific office within a Division for a particular advertised opportunity. However, given occasional legal service demand issues you may be required at times to undertake varied work within the Department. This supports the Departments commitment to a flexible and deployable legal workforce and professional development opportunities in a range of legal domains.
