**The Opportunity**

This role is a 12-month fixed term contract as Insurance Officer within the Operations department of a growing superannuation company. This role will play a key part in improving the claims experience for members, giving you the opportunity to make a difference to a claimant's life.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Processing and assessing insurance claims in accordance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Communicating with claimants, beneficiaries, and stakeholders.
- Investigating and verifying the validity of claims.
- Collaborating with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely processing of claims.
- Maintaining detailed records of claims for audit purposes.
- Providing exceptional customer service.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of claim processing procedures and systems.

**About You**

With a strong member focus, you will demonstrate superior customer service and communication skills. Furthermore, to thrive in this role, you'll need to be detail-oriented, possess strong analytical skills, and have a solid understanding of insurance principles (including knowledge of TPD and Income Protection Insurance).

Desired skills and knowledge include:

- Processing insurance claims.
- Knowledge of insurance policies and regulations.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
