If your answer is ‘yes’ to any of the above, then you may be interested in this role for an early career researcher in ORIMA’s Public Health Research Division. We are looking for high-performing graduates or researchers with 1-3 years of experience in research consulting, who take pride in the quality of their work, want to learn and be intellectually challenged, seek to develop a strong professional foundation, and aim to thrive in their workplace.
The role is best suited to someone who wants to **pursue a career in commercial social research/consulting** and be trained to progress to experienced levels, as opposed to a research career in academia.
**Associate Research Consultant i.e. Graduate with 1-3 years commercial, social research experience**
The role is focussed in ORIMA’s Public Health Division, with the opportunity to also work across a number of teams, research disciplines and policy areas. We are looking for a self-starter who will uphold privacy and confidentiality in all that they do, and who will contribute to a supportive, positive and engaged office culture.
Key duties include:
- Supporting senior research consultants on all facets of project delivery, including assisting in project and client management
- Management of fieldwork suppliers
- Providing input to research and questionnaire design, including involvement in proposal and quote drafting
- Organising and supporting research fieldwork
- Data processing and data file preparation
- Content analysis and coding
- Analysing and interpreting data (using Q/SPSS/R and Excel), including higher level statistical analysis where required
- Data visualisation e.g. infographics, custom charts and diagrams
- Deducing key findings and overall project ‘narrative’, communicating this clearly and concisely in written and oral form (with guidance)
- Preparing reports to publication standard - including primary drafting (with guidance)
- Proactive learner keen to advance their professional development and to actively participate in the ORIMA professional development program
