As an Industrial/ Employee Relations Officer you will be responsible for assisting the provision of day-to-day ER/IR support for DFR and ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations and internal policies.

**Description**
Reporting to the National Manager of HR, an Industrial Relations Officer will primarily work to provide high quality, professional and timely advice to assist in the achievement of sound industrial outcomes for the organization.
**You will**:
- Support the business with ER/IR matters by providing accurate and timely customer service to stakeholders
- Manage the workload independently and efficiently, with the support of the the National Manager HR, Head of HR & Training and Head of Legal and Compliance
- Assist and support the DFR Team on:
- Disciplinary matters
- Performance management
- Workplace complaints/grievances
- Attendance and Absenteeism
- Rates, conditions and award interpretation
- Bullying and harassment
- Investigations
- Claims with the Fair Work Commission
- Assist with the development of templates, policies and guidance as and when required to ensure compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements
- Run training with the business on IR/ER topics and identify opportunities with process improvements
- Ensure appropriate escalation of issues and matters requiring approval
**Profile**
To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience of 3 years working as an Industrial Officer and a Bachelors' degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field is preferable.
**To be considered, you will have**:
- Sound Industrial Relations IR knowledge and skills, as well as an interest in advancing the professional and industrial rights
- Relevant service industry experience including suitable experience in advising on industrial relations issues
- Relevant tertiary qualifications desirable such as industrial relations, HR and/or legal
- Ability to work in a fast paced, pressured environment and solution orientated
- Sound written and oral skills with the ability to present and profile information to clients and internal stakeholders
