This 12-month Parental Leave Contract role, from mid-February 2023 to February 2024, will enable
you to be part of a high performing organisation that makes a significant positive impact on the
wellbeing of Australians through supporting research that influences government policies, programs
and initiatives. Please note evening work is required when projects and focus groups are running to
assist with set-up and coordination of face-to-face focus groups in the Melbourne office or online
groups. Typical hours envisaged as 10am-6.30pm Mon-Thurs, Fri 9am-5.30pm. Training provided.

Australian and State / Territory Government clients on a range of topics including healthcare and
wellbeing, employee engagement, education, environmental assets, policy, disability, sports
programs, communications, First Nations and more.

and social research, data analytics and advisory services. Our projects have made a significant
contribution to advancing evidence-based public policy across a broad range of areas.

We are 100% Australian owned and are growing. We have offices in Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney
and Brisbane and employ around 75 permanent staff as well as a national Aboriginal and Torres
Strait Islander Field Force of over 35 casual interviewers.

**The Team**

Our team of qualitative researchers regularly conducts fieldwork (i.e. research sessions, including
small group workshops / focus groups and interviews) in a range of locations across Australia. We
are seeking a highly capable person with at least 2 years relevant work experience to join our
qualitative research division to project manage and co-ordinate our team’s fieldwork.***

This role will include interacting with various suppliers to arrange, organise and co-ordinate the
logistics for a range of Australia-wide fieldwork projects, overseen by one of our senior qualitative
researchers. This role is critical to the successful delivery of ORIMA’s qualitative research projects.
Research and / or fieldwork management experience is useful, but not essential to being able to do
this role. Training and support will be provided. Experience organising or planning events and
managing suppliers would also be highly relevant and experience in finding solutions when plans
suddenly change - as they do.

ORIMA is an ISO20252 accredited company and engaging with and closely following our quality
processes in the daily work environment is critical.

**The work will typically involve**:

- Planning, implementing and managing fieldwork from project commencement to completion
- Co-ordinating multiple fieldwork projects and activities - including tasks like scheduling

the fieldwork sessions, organising fieldwork logistics (such as travel arrangements),
liaising and briefing research recruiters and monitoring/tracking recruitment progress
- Supporting our staff with project planning including development of recruitment

specification screeners
- Preparing fieldwork folders for the team members with relevant materials
- Organising and monitoring cash incentives for research participants
- General research tasks (e.g. data entry)
o Proactively raising issues/making suggestions/planning solutions to ensure that project
timelines and deliverables are met
- Filing and record keeping to meet ISO20252 quality standard requirements
- Keeping project managers up-to-date with fieldwork arrangements and progress, and
supporting them as needed
