The Project Coordinator will be responsible for the project design and construction of medium complexity projects. The successful incumbent will collaborate with the Senior Manager of Construction and Project Managers to work on higher complexity projects while effectively managing external contractors, consultants, and University stakeholders. The Project Coordinator will operate in accordance with Deakin’s Policy and the University’s operational objectives.

This role offers a hybrid model with 2-3 days working onsite days depending on project demands.

**As a Project Coordinator you will**:

- Develop and provide the necessary documentation and reporting to support the management and coordination of the program and/or project
- Prepare and monitor project schedules, resources, budgets, cost estimates and provide progress and status reports and manage changes as they arise
- Plan and prioritises work and critical activities appropriately and recognises barriers to achieving outcomes, finds effective ways to deal with them and evaluates progress
- Plan and oversee all aspects of the end-to-end project to deliver sustainable outcomes, value within constraints of time, cost and quality
- Draw on a diverse range of people, groups and resources to identify new or improved opportunities, processes and ways of doing things to enhance organisational strategy

**To be successful, you’ll have**:

- A Degree with subsequent relevant experience; or extensive experience and specialist knowledge or broad knowledge in technical or administrative fields, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training (Building, Architecture or Project Management).
- At least 5 years experience in the construction industry.
- Experience coordinating external contractors and consultants to achieve objectives.
- Experience in organising the design and construction of varied works.
- Knowledge of the building industry including occupational health and safety guidelines in respect of construction practices.

**Special Requirements**:

- Drivers Licence
- Working with Children Check (refer to Recruitment Procedure)
- Current Construction Industry OHS General Induction (White Card / Red Card)
